Alkaline Foods
Your body will not function at its best if poor nutrition with less activity is in forefront in your lifestyle. Not good in the picture to see that this has unfortunately been our routine; we eat the wrong foods, we sleep less, we stress ourselves, our tight schedules disallow us to spend time in the gym, and we don’t get fresh air to breathe. With all these unhealthy truth said we can’t expect our body to give superb performance and resistance against illnesses. However, you too can always help; of course you need to do the opposite. But what must be the most important ingredient to have a healthy body is to take alkaline foods as large part of your diet. Now, allow to explain why.
A healthy body is like water; it’s neither acidic nor alkaline. A healthy body or a balanced body would have potential hydrogen (pH) scale of 7.35 - 7.45. A substance is said to be acidic if it has a scale less than 7.0 pH. On the other hand, a substance is said to be alkaline if its pH level is beyond 7.0. Now the most important issue here is to balance these two. A nice approach for a balanced body is to make alkaline foods 80% of your diet and 20% for acid-producing foods. Vegetables such as celery, cucumber, green beans, spinach, onion, and fruits like lemon, sesame and avocado are example of alkaline foods. Protein-rich foods such as meats, refined foods, milks, and starches are acid-producing foods.
I might as well admit that the task of getting that normal pH through careful selection of these acid-producing and alkaline foods is quite confusing. So the best thing for you to do is to look for alkaline foods list or alkaline foods chart and start feeling healthy by tuning into an alkaline diet!
